Don Cannon, FSCU Internal Affairs Chair

on Cannon recently retired as the Finance Director for St. George Regional Hospital and brings over 30 years of experience in accounting, finance, and management to Family Support Centers of Utah. Over his career, he focused on developing and implementing financial best practices and mentoring personnel for successful careers in leadership as financial professionals. 

Prior to joining Intermountain Healthcare, Don came from an audit background in public accounting with Grant Thornton, LLP. He received his BS in Accounting from Brigham Young University and an MBAHM from Western Governors University. He is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant and is a Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. As a sole proprietor, he continues to consult with individuals and small businesses, assisting clients with budgeting, financial planning, systems management, tax preparation, and other financial services. 

Don has long been active in his community and is dedicated to supporting families through various services and leadership roles. He has been married to Lorilee Heaton Cannon for 42 years. They are the parents of five children and grandparents of 20 grandchildren. Don has also served in leadership positions within his church, with a focus on nurturing individual and family well-being.
