The Imagination Station: A Children’s Nursery
A fun and safe place for kids
The Open Doors Imagination Station offers parents a much-needed break while providing children with a safe, nurturing environment. Families can schedule time once a week for childcare, giving parents the opportunity to focus on their well-being. This service reduces parental stress and offers support before a crisis becomes necessary, helping families maintain balance and wellness.
Circles Davis County
Building community to end poverty
The Circles Program at Open Doors Utah is a unique, long-term initiative designed to help individuals and families move from surviving to thriving. Through Circles, we connect participants with a supportive network of mentors, peers, and resources to empower them in overcoming barriers to financial and personal independence. This journey begins with a 12-week class, where participants learn essential skills, set goals, and build relationships that become the foundation of their path forward.
Homeless to Housed
Helping you find your place
Open Doors offers comprehensive housing programs to help families and individuals facing homelessness. Through Homeless Prevention, Homeless to Housed, and Street Outreach, we provide rental assistance, case management, and critical support to ensure housing stability. Each program is designed to address different stages of housing insecurity, helping people regain independence and build a secure future.
About the Center
Meet the Director
Jason Wilde is a professional counselor who joined Open Doors as a therapy intern in 2003. He loves helping individuals and families discover their inner strength to overcome their challenges and strengthen their relationships. He jokes that seven years after his internship began, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time and accidentally became more important than he actually is when he was selected to become the executive director of Open Doors. But he really loves his work. He says, “The best thing about working at Open Doors is that we get to help parents, especially moms, strengthen their families and love being with their children more. We get to help people find meaningful and well-paying work to lift themselves out of poverty. We get to help people experiencing homelessness find stable housing and pay their own rent so they never have to live on the streets again. We get to bring the community together to protect and strengthen families, and to stabilize and rebuild lives.” He has built a strong leadership team to strengthen community relationships, build effective partnerships, and operate programs with successful outcomes for individuals and families.
