FSCU strengthens the organizations that strengthen families. As the backbone for Utah’s statewide network of Family Support Centers, our impact is measured not in direct services, but in the strength, stability, and reach of the Centers we support.

Strategic Growth

In just a few years, FSCU has transitioned from a volunteer-led initiative to a professionally staffed organization with a clear strategic direction. Through our 2023–2027 Strategic Plan, we’ve enhanced communication, accountability, and coordination across the network—resulting in more responsive, resilient services for families statewide.

Advocacy and Funding Success

Since 2019, FSCU has raised over $7.1 million, including $3.4 million from the State of Utah, to support the critical work of local Centers. We’ve secured increases in frontline wages, improved fiscal oversight, and advocated for sustained state support for child abuse prevention.

Safer, Stronger Centers

Private funding has enabled vital facility upgrades, including kitchen and bathroom renovations and the creation of therapeutic “Comfort Corners” to support children’s emotional well-being. Through our Safe and Secure Project, all Centers underwent safety assessments and critical security improvements.

A More Unified Network

From modernizing governance structures to conducting the first-ever comprehensive Needs Assessment, we are helping Centers align, grow, and serve more families with excellence and equity.
