OPEN DOORS CENTER DIRECTOR

Jason Wilde is a professional counselor who joined Open Doors as a therapy intern in 2003. He loves helping individuals and families discover their inner strength to overcome their challenges and strengthen their relationships. He jokes that seven years after his internship began, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time and accidentally became more important than he actually is when he was selected to become the executive director of Open Doors. But he really loves his work. He says, β€œThe best thing about working at Open Doors is that we get to help parents, especially moms, strengthen their families and love being with their children more. We get to help people find meaningful and well-paying work to lift themselves out of poverty. We get to help people experiencing homelessness find stable housing and pay their own rent so they never have to live on the streets again. We get to bring the community together to protect and strengthen families, and to stabilize and rebuild lives.” He has built a strong leadership team to strengthen community relationships, build effective partnerships, and operate programs with successful outcomes for individuals and families.
