Family Haven’s mission is to build a community of happy, healthy individuals and families. Our services include therapy, the Crisis Respite Nursery, and education for both parents and kids to learn new skills to thrive together as families. We also provide fun, family-centered events throughout the year for all community members to enjoy. All families need a village — let us be part of yours!

Services Offered

Therapy

Our licensed therapists work with children and adults who have experienced trauma, helping them find hope and healing to become healthy individuals who can fully participate in and contribute to their community. Therapy is tailored according to individual needs and includes Play Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, and other experiential methods.

Education

Our trained education team provides group parenting classes and individual in-home coaching, helping parents build practical, confidence-boosting skills that create safer, more nurturing homes. We also provide education in local schools about abuse prevention and reporting, so children can keep themselves safe.

Crisis Respite Nursery

All families experience seasons of overwhelm, hope, exhaustion, and at times, a need to change. We meet each family where they are. This free drop-in childcare program for children ages 11 and younger allows parents to attend job interviews, medical appointments, court dates, or take a much-needed moment for self-care, knowing their children are safe, cared for, and supported. While our nursery has normal business hours (M-Th 9-9; F 9-5; Sat 4-8), it is also available 24/7 for emergency care during medical events, parent well-being, legal matters, etc. Our caregivers are trained and qualified to provide care for children in a safe, homelike environment where they can participate in age-appropriate activities.
